The Hot List

Vancouver Canucks - Four straight victories and a 8-1-1 in the past 10 games has put the red hot Canucks in position to win the Northwest Division.
St. Louis Blues - In the past 15 the Blues have been 9-4-2 and are only 2 points out from 8th place.
Detroit Red Wings - For most of the season the Sharks were the team to beat. Now, the Red Wings have been consistently holding first place while San Jose is struggling to keep up.
The Cold List

Phoenix Coyotes- They Coyotes once looked like they could make the playoffs and now they have dropped out of sight. Since January 27th, 2009 Phoenix has won 5 games out of 23.
Montreal Canadians- Montreal came into the season as cup favorites. Now after 4 straight losses they are barely holding on to a playoff spot.
Buffalo Sabres- Bad time to lose 3 in a row is when your fighting to make the playoffs.
